Spanish Love Affair - Espadrilles

 

 

Espadrilles have been popping up everywhere, from Stella McCartney, Valentino, Emilio Pucci to Jimmy Choo. I’m still not sure if it makes sense to pay hundreds of dollars for a pair of beach shoes but hey, is fashion ever about logical decisions?

I was pretty close to getting a pair from Toms or a similar mid-range brand when I stumbled across the cutest store in Montreal. They sell 100% handcrafted espadrilles from a small village in la Rioja, northern Spain. But the best part is they start around $30. No kidding, handmade shoes for $30!
